Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the easyYAW platform operated at easyyaw.com and app.easyyaw.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

easyYAW provides a web-based platform for flight logbook management, EASA-compliant training record-keeping, PKI-signed instructor sign-offs, aircraft reservations, and aeroclub duty management.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.
• You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.

3. Free Tier

The personal pilot logbook is free and will remain free indefinitely. We reserve the right to introduce paid features for organizations, but the personal logbook will always be free for individual pilots.

4. Organization Accounts

Organizations (DTOs, flight schools, aeroclubs) may subscribe to paid modules under a separate commercial agreement. Organization administrators are responsible for the actions of their members on the platform and for ensuring compliance with applicable aviation regulations.

5. PKI Signatures and Legal Validity

easyYAW facilitates the creation of ECDSA P-256 digital signatures for training records. These constitute Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES) under eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 and are admissible as evidence per Article 25(1). They are not Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) — the platform does not use a Qualified Trust Service Provider or Qualified Signature Creation Device. You are responsible for safeguarding your PKI private key and PIN. easyYAW does not provide legal advice on the regulatory acceptability of electronic signatures in your jurisdiction.

5a. Intellectual Property

easyYAW and its logos, trademarks, and platform design are the intellectual property of easyYAW s.r.o. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission. All software, code, and documentation forming the easyYAW platform is proprietary to easyYAW s.r.o. These Terms do not grant you any intellectual property rights in the service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

5b. Aviation Disclaimer

easyYAW is a software platform for administrative and record-keeping purposes only. It is not a substitute for official flight training, certified instruction, or regulatory guidance issued by EASA or national aviation authorities. Compliance with applicable aviation regulations remains the sole responsibility of pilots, instructors, and their organizations. easyYAW makes no warranty that use of the platform will ensure regulatory compliance in any specific jurisdiction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Upload false or fraudulent flight or training records
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service

7. Data Ownership

You own your flight data and personal logbook entries. We do not claim ownership of any data you enter. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access. We are not liable for losses arising from service unavailability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, easyYAW shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or where PKI-signed records must be preserved for their legal validity.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.
